Hala Algorithms subtraction word problems- Pentagons

Pentagons:
Use algorithms to answer the following subtraction maths questions only.

1. I went to Mitre10 and bought 350 nails. I used 126 of the nails when building a shed in my backyard. How many nails was I left with?350-126=236
300-100=200
50-20=30
0-6=6
200+30+6=236

2. Mum said when Jake gets 470 stickers on his sticker chart he was allowed to go to the movies. Jake was 137 stickers short. How many stickers does Jake currently have? 470-137=
400-100=300
70-30=40
0-7=7
300+40+7=347

3. The temperature on Venus is 1683 degrees fahrenheit. One day the temperature drops 387 degree fahrenheit. What is the temperature now on Venus?1682-387=
1682-7=1675
387-7=380
1675+380=1305

4. There were 1693 mls of juice inside the bottle. Miss Clark drinks 573 mls of juice. How much juice is left in the bottle?1693-573
1000-0=1000
600-500=100
90-70=20
3-3=0
1000+100+20+0=1120

5. The oldest cat in the world lived for a total 9463 days. The oldest fish lived for 3853. What was the difference in days between how long the cat had lived compared to the fish?
9463-3853
9000-3000=6000
800-400=400
60-50=10
3-3=0
6000+400+10+0=6410





6. I was going on holiday and had $4500 for my trip. My flights cost me $2842. How much money was I left with for my trip?4500-2842=
4000-2000=2000
800-500=300
00-40=40
0-2=2
2000+300+40+2=2342
